- Radial Bearings or Deep Groove Bearings support radial, thrust, moment, or combination loads.
- Angular Contact Bearings are designed to give maximum capacity for thrust loads in one direction, or combined radial and thrust loads where the thrust load is primary. If the thrust load is bi-directional, duplex bearings or radial bearings should be used.
- Duplex Bearings are two single row bearings that are manufactured to be mounted in pairs. Duplex bearings offer greater stiffness and are typically preloaded. Preloading utilizes a preset applied axial load to increase the system accuracy and stiffness.
- Double Row Bearings utilize two rows of balls and offer increased radial and thrust capacity in both directions.
- Four Point Contact Bearings or Gothic Arch Bearings or X-Type Bearings utilize four points of raceway contact to offer increased axial and moment stiffness. These bearings are good for moment loads and thrust loads, but are not recommended for applications with heavy radial loads or high speeds.
